Everything's not entirely certain yet, but it's most likely I'd be going to Japan this year! God, it's been so long since I've been there. Economy crisis also means less flights for me, and the last time I went cross-country was to Phuket, Thailand - in which aside from a quick walk and those one-day trip things, we stayed inside a village resort the entire time.

I'm probably going with my mom because my sister and brother are both preparing for major exams. And I need my mom to translate for me; the only Japanese I can always remember is 'sorry/excuse me'. We usually go to Tokyo 'cause my grandparents has a house there, but this year we're going for the Kansai region. Food!

Strangely, this afternoon while taking a nap, I dreamed about NamjaTown (this indoor entirement park in Tokyo). In my dream, I wanted so badly to go inside, and the whole layout was slightly different as well - but after I woke up, I was quite sure I'm not interested in going there anytime soon. It's a place designed mostly for dates, plus the place is impossible to visit unless you have a decent knowledge of Japanese.

One thing I really miss about Japan though, is the large amount of UFO catchers. The usual type of catchers in Taiwan is a poor substitute - way less about skill and more about luck. I don't know why I love catchers so much, but my entire family (excluding my dad, I guess) enjoys them. (My younger sister totally sucks at it, but don't tell her that. :p) The prizes are generally better in Japan, but each play costs more and some people consider them a total waste of money...But the thrill of catching something is so totally worth it. Especially since with UFO catchers it's actually kind of a matter of skill.

Yes, I want to go to Japan because of UFO catchers. Shut up xD

Also, temples. Japanese temples are really relaxing, and unlike Taiwanese ones aren't covered with incense smoke. Nearly all temples close at four in the afternoon, meaning I actually have to change to a reasonable schedule and wake up before noon...Which is probably healthy. Heh. And food!

Ah, I'm really looking forward to a relaxing trip! As long as I don't argue with my mom. Hee.

On the other hand, I'm seriously considering whether to pierce my ears or not. I mean, my mom seems to view it as something a girl has to do sooner or later, and while I don't agree with that viewpoint, I do sort of enjoy looking at earrings. Except, I'm not sure I really want a hole on my body. Like, if this is the way I'm born, why should I put a hole on myself? Or even, why should I change any part of myself? I have the same views on plastic surgery...Kind of ironic, since my dad is a plastic surgeon.

I also want to try dying my hair once. But I have really soft hair, and I want to keep it that way - I don't want to risk damaging my hair. And since I have dark eyes and eyebrows, dying it too light would be odd anyway...But it's one those things I just want to try once. And I hate perms, but I want a different hairstyle and with my hair it's kind of impossible otherwise. No matter what I do, it just sort of falls into a straight style.

Pointless debates are at least better than worrying about getting a job in the near future. You don't get tired thinking about it.

BACK TO STUDYING FOR FINALS. BASIC COMPUTER SCIENCE EXAMS TOMORROW. I HAVE STUDIED NEARLY NOTHING. Oh, hell.

Haven't updated in a long while because of Internet connection problems and then something after another until I'm too exhuasted at the end of each day to think coherently. Since [livejournal.com profile] eposicee asked me to write this, I decided to obey, or I might just be scrubbed raw from head to toe.

And that's it. Hope this satisfies you.

I also decided to change my layout, even though I'm kind of not very happy with it. Still, I colored the header myself, and I also made my default icon. Will ponder on whether I'd keep this layout or go back to my old one.

I wrote One Piece fic. After, like, years of surpassing the urge to fall back into the crazy fandom, I actually wrote One Piece. Even if it doesn't quite feel like writing One Piece (what with it being too dark for the actual series and all), the characters are what I remembered to be and dude, I wrote One Piece. That's the world ending, folks.

Luffy/Sanji. With a Resident Evil theme. And, oh, this is so embarrasing. )
