Back at school, last semester of college. Aside from feeling slightly overwhelmed that MY COLLEGE LIFE IS ALMOST OVER, things are pretty normal.

But anyway just wondering, is anyone here??????

It feels like no one uses LJ anymore. I can understand that, it's a sucky website, but I feel lonely. I haven't socialized for the last month and omg I can't remember how to talk to people anymore. I spent my winter vacation staying at home playing Pokemon and sleeping. I have a lot to talk about Pokemon, but I have a feeling I'm going to have even less friends than I already do if I try that.

ANYWAY. Anyone who knows anything about Pokemon (there's a yellow mouse called Pikachu! there, you know something now) should watch this Pokemon Engrish Green Nuzlocke Run. Slightly offensive at times, but I think that's because I've forgotten how offensive guys can normally be when they're not even trying (I think I've forgotten how offensive ALL people can be like). Seriously though, it's EPIC. Of course, you have to have played first gen to properly appreciate all the epicness, and you probably have to know what a Nuzlocke run is (fainted Pokemon are dead, you know now~), but everyone should GO ALL OUT (by which I mean TACKLE) that. Too lazy to play it for myself, it's probably going to give me a headache, so watching this run was amazing enough for me.

I need to stop using parentheses. Sorry about that.

So, what is real life, and is it edible? OH WAIT, SCHOOL. Yeah, I need to get back on that, but all the courses offered this semester look like they're going to take a lot of effort and I don't know what's that.

I need better hobbies. Ones that won't cause people to look at me weirdly. Any suggestions?

I finally slept in a bed last night! My sleeping schedule was completely insane for two nights. I've been getting seven hours of sleep a day, all from sleeping at my desk. My routine was to get two hours of work down, nap for an hour on my desk, then wake up for another two hours before napping on my desk again. This continued for two days. At one point I don't think I even knew if I'm awake anymore. I didn't know it was possible to miss sleeping in a bed so much until now.

But! I am now refreshed! And more importantly, I survived!

Off to more sleep. I'm a poor excuse for a human being right now :D :D

My school doesn't seem to want us to take courses. I can't get into any of the extra courses I want, since nearly all of them are full - and the rest will collide with other classes I'm already taking. The same thing happened this semester; it's not, are you sure you want us to study? Also, there are no classes on Wednesday. At all. The only thing I can do on Wednesday is sleep and prepare for my other classes because there's nothing open on Wednesday. Lazy professors.

How do I say this...second secondary language? )

Here's to hoping I can get in Japanese - or any course, actually - next semester. *click*

Also, the JE fandom is insane. Rant about needing a gen fandom. )

Next up, I blame the Asian tour for making Arashi popular everywhere these days. There are SO MANY new fans around me. The good thing is, most of them are sane compared to [censored]. And I'm trying very hard to restrain myself from joining fandom, so I have a very clean memory of them that's not tainted by extreme opinions. I'm still trying to recover from the experience of being scarred by the KAT-TUN fandom.

I don't quite get exactly why they're suddenly so popular (I mean, it's not like they're doing anything different from three years ago), but they're fun. And mostly, they're brilliantly stupid. Or stupidly brilliant. )

I need to stop judging how interesting someone is because of how much fail they're made of.

So, I saw this Microfic Meme around, in which you try to write ten different categories of fic in ten words or less. It's not actually much of a story, but it's fun. I changed the categories of the one I saw because a) I don't write smut and b) too many categories seemed so alike.

The Microfic Meme, featuring Sakurai Sho and friends. ) And because I'm bored, I may be lengthening some of those into drabbles.

I want a new layout.

We don't really celebrate Christmas or New Years here (I don't even get to go home on Christmas Eve), but I still want to get a few things done. So, list:

  • Koichi's birthday thing
status: no progress as of yet.
result: don't care I will think of something!!

  • that fic with genetic enhanced humans and tall towers
status: plotted, less than ten percent written.
result: let's do this next year.

  • write down my experience with Johnny's this year
    status: close to finishing.
result: turned into more of a Johnnys history report. failure?

  • attempt translating own fic with that roommate cliché.
    status: stuck.
result: translating is harder than it sounds.

  • get something drawn and colored before end of year
    status: sheet is still blank.
    result: who knows?

This isn't working, is it?

Best thing about New Years is end of year special programs. Worst thing is incoming finals. My programming skills just aren't improving and I can't code on my own - which means if I don't learn how soon, I might flunk my machine test.

But it's almost Christmas, which means I refuse to concentrate completely on schoolwork. Haha xD

I like, didn't do so well on math today. And it's stupid, because it's not like I'm excelling on my other subjects, but it's just, math. The only subject I actually study for. And okay, I admit, I'm stupid enough to cry when I, erm, don't do as well as I expect on a test. So far, that means math - mostly geometric stuff, because god knows I just suck at thinking with three dimensions.

So what do I do? Even when tomorrow is still exam day? I make icons. GetBackers ones. Because I can't even think straight and I know it's going to ruin my other test scores but I could care less as my total score is already pulled down by the one subject I even care for anymore.

And I still have a stupid crush on Amano Ginji. )
